What a fantastic weekend for Viby Basket's F12 girls! Our team has won Tälje Open 2026 in the Girls U15 competition!

Our girls showed tremendous character, determination and team spirit throughout the tournament. Game after game, they demonstrated what this team is all about: hard work, fighting together and never giving up.

Our strength once again came from our defence. We fought for every ball, helped each other, secured rebounds and turned our defensive efforts into opportunities in transition. And when things got difficult, we stayed together, trusted each other and kept fighting.

But this victory is about more than basketball. It is about a group of girls who continue to grow, learn and develop together, building something special both on and off the court.

A huge congratulations to all our players! You have every reason to be proud of what you have achieved!

A big thank you also to our parents and everyone supporting the team. Your commitment and contribution make these experiences possible.

THE ROAD TO THE CUP

The girls got off to a difficult start on Friday, opening the tournament with a hard-fought 25–22 victory against Fryshuset Basket coming back from 9-22.

They followed that up with a convincing 50–32 win against Alvik Basket.

On Saturday, the winning streak continued with another strong performance against Högsbo Basket F12, securing their place in the A Playoffs!

In the semi-final, Viby faced Uppsala Basket. The girls delivered an outstanding performance, combining intense defence with effective attacking basketball to secure a convincing 35–16 victory and book their place in the final!

And what a final it was!

Waiting for us was the home team, Södertälje BBK EF. In a very tight and intense game, both teams fought for every possession. But our girls showed tremendous character, determination and composure when it mattered most. They stayed together, fought until the very end and secured a fantastic 45–42 victory!
